• Southern California motorcycles began as a dream of its owner, Tom Hicks, to build and open a different kind of motorcycle dealership.

  Tom's long career in the motorcycle industry started in 1976. He was the president of a local motorcycle club and started a small motorcycle service shop in his own garage. Tom soon had more work than he could handle due to his philosophy of quality customer service and his attention to detail. In 1980, Tom joined American Honda as a motorcycle technician and quickly moved through the Customer Relations department, Motorcycle Engineering department, and on to Motorcycle Product Research. There, he was able to utilize his talents introducing new models to the press, handling product evaluations, public relations, and even set seven world motorcycle endurance speed records.

  In 1994, Tom went to work for Triumph Motorcycles as the Sales Manager for the Western United States and set up Triumph's dealer network. Tom was also very involved with Triumph's marketing and press relations. He even had the privilege of teaching Pamela Anderson how to ride the Triumph Thunderbird for the movie "Barb Wire". Tom has developed a deep knowledge of Triumph during his employment with the company. He has also put countless miles on all of the models.

• Still working towards his dream, Tom took the position of General Manager of Race Tech Suspension in 1997. He led Race Tech into the street-bike market, offering components for various street bikes including Triumphs.

  Tom's experience in the motorcycle industry has helped him develop a sense of how a dealership should operate. He has been appointed to the advisory board of dealer news magazine as well as consulting with many motorcycle industry businesses. Tom put his experience, enthusiasm, commitment and philosophy to work on April 4th, 2000 when Southern California Triumph opened for business. Within 16 months, Southern California Triumph became the number one Triumph dealer in the nation. History was made in 2016 which marked the tenth year in a row when Southern California Motorcycles became the number one dealer in the U.S. again! It was also announced that So Cal Triumph is now the number one Triumph dealer of all time in North America!

Company Timeline

April 4th, 2000 saw the opening of Southern California Triumph. 16 months later we became the Number One Triumph dealer in the U.S
In April 2003, Southern California Triumph expanded and opened Southern California Ducati. Ducati North America presented the company with the award for "Top New Ducati Dealer in the U.S." From 2003 to date, the company continues to rank as one of the top selling Ducati dealers in the U.S. and was the number one Ducati dealer in the U.S in 2007. Southern California Ducati became an exclusive Ducati dealer with the total dealership remodel in 2017.
August 2005 was the addition of Victory motorcycles. Southern California Victory offered total commitment to the brand in the same fashion that has made Southern California Triumph and Southern California Ducati the premier dealerships of their kind. Polaris ceased the manufacture of Victory motorcycles in January of 2017. We will continue as a Victory dealer to service and support our wonderful Victory customer base.
Southern California Motorcycles opened Southern California Royal Enfield in 2011. We are now the Number #1 dealer in the nation for Royal Enfield.
The Southern California Pre-Owned department has a huge selection of pre-owned motorcycles and accepts trade-ins and consigns motorcycles.
Southern California Suzuki was constructed and added in 2014. It is the largest and most beautiful Suzuki dealership in the region.

• Southern California Triumph is a Flagship Exclusive Triumph dealership that is the Number One Triumph dealership of all time in North America!

 

• Southern California Ducati is an exclusive Ducati dealership that was number one in the Western United States for 2017 & 2018.
• Southern California Suzuki is a separate and huge Suzuki Dealership that offers a wide selection of Suzuki’s plus Demo Rides.

 

• Southern California Victory®. Although Polaris ceased production in 2017 we stay open as a Victory® service center.
• Southern California Royal Enfield is the Number One Royal Enfield Dealer in the U.S.

 

• Southern California Customs offers an incredible selection of custom Triumph's, Ducati's, Suzuki's and Royal Enfield’s for you to choose from.
• Southern California pre-owned has a huge inventory of SCM Certified pre-owned bikes.
